Description
Before the resurrection, Peter is a coward and betrayer (Lk.22:54b-62); after the resurrection, he gives leadership to the community and preaches boldly (Acts 1:15 and 2:14-42). Before the resurrection, Mary ponders these things in her heart (Lk.2:19); after the resurrection, she is among those waiting for the promised Holy Spirit (Acts 1:14). Before he meets the risen LORD, Paul is a persecutor of the Christian community (Acts 9:1-3); after his encounter, he forms new communities of followers (Acts 9:15-16).
