The Lord leads me beside still waters…and refreshes my soul
(Ps.23:2-3)

A private retreat can be from a day to a month long; when extended beyond a month, we refer to it as a sabbatical. To retreat is to withdraw. In a spiritual sense, a person making a private retreat withdraws from everyday life to spend time in intentional prayer and reflection in a place where one’s responsibilities are lessened – it is a good opportunity to take a fresh look at life, to sort things out, and to reflect on what really matters. It is a time to journey inward: a time to listen to your inner voice…

To make a sabbatical connotes a spiritual dimension and quality that is different from a vacation. Sabbaticals are open to all people. People seeking a sabbatical are invited to begin the process by completing an application package.
