Providence Presents: Minute Meditations
Prayer Opportunities
Week of April 26
Ponder: In Sunday’s gospel (John 10:1-10), Jesus is described as the ‘gate’ to the sheepfold. The flock know and follow his voice. They trust that they ‘have life, and have it to the full.’
- What passageway/threshold are you approaching or standing before?
- How might the image of Jesus as “gate” comfort or encourage you?
- What does living life ‘to the full’ look like in your job, role, situation?
Praise: Psalm 23 “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want…”
- Where are you on your journey with the Good Shepherd … green pasture, dark valley, quiet waters, banquet table?
- How do your actions demonstrate that goodness and love follow you?
Week of May 3
Ponder: In Sunday’s gospel (John 14:1-12), Jesus tells the disciples ‘not to let their hearts be troubled’ because they know ‘the way’ – Jesus, himself. They are to trust that God can and will work through their faithfulness.
- Who or what encourages you on ‘the way’?
- Where in your life, in your work does God working through you?
Praise: Psalm 33 “May your Love be upon us … as we place our hope in You”
- What gives you hope? How do you encourage others to remain hope-filled?

The Labyrinth
We are all on the path . . . exactly where we need to be. The labyrinth is a model of that path. A labyrinth is an ancient symbol that relates to wholeness. It combines the imagery of the circle and the spiral into a meandering but purposeful path.
