“Night in John of the Cross, which symbolically moves from twilight to midnight to dawn, is the progressive purification and transformation of the human person through what we cherish or desire and through what give us security and support,” (Constance FitzGerald, OCD). This Lenten Retreat offers a daily sharing of Dark Night spiritual wisdom and accompanying spiritual resources, extended periods of silence for personal prayer, reflection or simply to be, and a communal prayer experience to begin and end the day. An opportunity for spiritual direction is available either through the retreatant’s own spiritual director or the retreat facilitator.

Zinia Pritchard, D.Min. is a Contemplative Practical Theologian and Dark Night scholar. She is a Life Associate member of the Sinsinawa Dominicans. Zinia is a certified spiritual care practitioner, Benedictine trained spiritual director, and retreat facilitator. Living Dark Night contemplative spirituality, her deep joy is sharing the fruits of contemplation.
