Near the end of Thomas Keating’s life [d. October 25, 2018,) eight of his poems were collected and published under the title “The Secret Embrace”. In this retreat, we will be reading these poems with the guidance of Cynthia Bourgeault, from the virtual workshop Bourgeault led in May 2020. Familiarity with Thomas Keating’s basic teachings is essential for this retreat. The retreat will include periods of Centering Prayer each day, and lectio divina.

If you choose to stay at PRC: You will have a suite at PRC with a private washroom.
- You will zoom into retreat presentations and prayer sits from your individual suite (unless protocols change and allow gathering)
- You will be required to wear a mask in public spaces throughout the building including hallways, elevators, kitchenettes, and the chapel, and to adhere to handwashing/sanitizing/social distancing protocols.
- Meals will be provided and served following AHS protocols for safety
