St. Paul: Accepting the Challenge to Follow the Way

This passionate live theatre piece from the Saints Come Marching In series tells the story of St. Paul as he meets the Risen Christ on the road to Damascus. He is challenged to spread the gospel to those in far off lands. Paul shares his transformational experience as he is filled with God’s light and love; he moves from persecuting believers to an amazing journey sharing the Good News.
The performance will be followed by time for reflection and discussion.

Maureen Rooney and Paul Punyi are a husband-&-wife team who have acted professionally since 1979 with some of Canada’s finest theatres and in film and television. Recipients of the St. Albert Mayor’s Lifetime Achievement in the Arts Award in 2013, the two are writers and co-artistic directors of Rooney and Punyi Educational Theatre COMPANY. They tour Alberta with performing arts residencies, and a repertoire of more than 20 shows!
