January 16, 2023 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Co-facilitated by PRC Program Team and Alberta Pasco, RN, PhD

The third Monday of January is considered the most depressing day of the year. The joys and anticipation of Christmas has past, but the debts have not. New Year’s Resolutions have mostly been broken, but the time of reflection and growth of Lent is still a way away. The third Monday of January is sometime called Blue Monday.

Blue, though often associated with sadness, is a colour of life: the expanse of a blue sky, the power of the ocean, the beauty of a corn flower. Blue is also the shade of tranquility and strength. On this self-care day, reclaim the blue that is peace, the blue that is regal, the blue that is healing. Blue Monday meets blue tranquility may truly become a beautiful day.
