With Dr. Pablo Irizar

This retreat is inspired by the very first novena dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe, composed in 1666 by the Mexican priest and theologian Miguel Sánchez. Sánchez interprets the Guadalupe apparitions and miracles as signs of God’s providence and presence in ordinary life. As the earliest devotional texts written in her honor, The Guadalupe Novena invites us into the origins of Guadalupe spirituality and its deep roots in the early days of Christianity in the Americas. Participants will reflect on how the novena opens a path to “ordinary mysticism”.
