“Mary” is the English translation of the Hebrew name Miriam. The origin is unknow but is said to literally mean “rebellion”. There are many women in the Christian Scriptures with this name. This Lent, Providence Renewal Centre is hosting an online series focusing on three Marys: Miriam the Sister of Moses, Mary the Mother of Jesus, and Mary the Magdalene. Join us as we encounter these three extraordinary women and explore their impact on both history and our spirituality.
