HOLY WEEK RETREAT: Newness of Life in Christ
With Fr. Dan Gurnick, OFM
Life brings about ups and downs. In other words, we share and participate in the dying and rising in, with, and through Christ. “Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only one seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.” (John 12:24) Naturally, we have to let go of things as we age, but the newness of life is possible. As baptized pilgrims, we share in the pattern of Christ’s descent and ascent. Let us open ourselves to the newness Christ desires to offer us. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:4)
