COMPASSIONATE SELF-CARE DAY
Facilitated by Kevyn Ernest
A still day to take time away from work or activity, to reflect on yourself as caregiver and on those whom you care for, and to search for the grace that is revealed in moments of difficulty. A day to look after yourself.
Occasions arise in our lives where we are thrust into the role of caregiver to our parents or friends who live with the limitations of dementia or some other mental or physical illness. We take on roles of great responsibility that place demand upon us, willingly or because of a lack of resources available. We sometimes need to take a day for ourselves to reflect on the purpose and privilege of our caregiving actions and to make ourselves available to recognize the grace that can come from the experience of being at the service of those whom we love.
Our day together will consist of
· Prayerful ritual
· Short guided input from the facilitator
· Plenty of time for self-reflection, journaling, artful expression, and taking care of yourself
· Some time for sharing personal stories
· Lunch together
Saturday November 21, 2026 – 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Registration: $70 (includes lunch)
Register by September 8 to ensure your lunch
