Beyond the Spiritual Exercises…
NAVIGATING LIFE’S ADVENTURES
Facilitated by Faith Nostbakken and Carol Sebastian
Deepen your experience of the wisdom of St. Ignatius of Loyola through an online book study with others who have completed the Spiritual Exercises. We’ll pray through Kevin O’Brien’s SEEING with the HEART: A Guide to Navigating Life’s Adventures* which begins by saying, “The adventure continues but in a different form” (2022). Chapter-by-chapter, we’ll discuss the questions posed as we grow in living with purpose, questions, depth, freedom, great desires, compassion, hope and discernment.
*Participants are responsible for acquiring their own books.

Faith Nostbakken, PhD, DMin, is an experienced spiritual director rostered at the Providence Renewal Centre. She is an ordained deacon and ecumenical officer of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. A graduate of both Newman Theological College (MTS) and the Lutheran Theological Seminary (DMin), Faith also holds a PhD in English Literature from the University of Alberta. Faith completed the training program to guide the Spiritual Exercises at Loyola House, Guelph, ON, and has been accompanying individuals and groups through the Spiritual Exercises since 2015.
Carol Sebastian, BA, an experienced spiritual director rostered at the Providence Renewal Centre, has been accompanying individuals through this version of the Spiritual Exercises since 2018.
