Writing From the Inside

Antoinette Voûte Roeder (via Zoom)

Explore your creative soul as you join poet Antoinette Voûte Roeder for this poetry writing exploration series! Inspired by two or three select poems in each session, including discussion and suggestions for getting started on our own writing, we will have ample time to work with our poems and share them.

Session 1:  Process.  What is the context for, what are the ingredients of the writing process?  Session 2:  Poems of Loss.  Every poet is familiar with loss, even despair.  We dig deeply for our own experience.

Session 3:  The Poet’s Joy.  The opposite of loss can be the joy of creation.  What do poets say about this and how would you express that?

Session 4:  The Relationship Between Poet and Reader.  What would you like to say to your reader?  What do Billy Collins, Anna Akhmatova, and W. S. Merwin say?

Wednesdays (bi-weekly): Oct 27, Nov 10, Nov 24, Dec 8    (1:30-3:30 pm)             $99.00
