Facilitated by Alberta Pasco, RN, PhD
Compassion fatigue, an epidemic in its own right, is prevalent in frontline workers and caregivers. When we turn to Christian Scriptures, we hear Jesus calling us to “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest” (Mt 11:28). We also see Jesus took time in solitude following times of healing people with ailments of body and mind, “In the morning, while it was still very dark, he got up and went to a deserted place, and there he prayed” (Mk 1:35). Providence Renewal Center invites all who are weary to join us for “Compassion Fatigue Meets Christ’s Compassion”, a day of self-care.
