A Pilgrimage is a journey; physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Many major world religions have pilgrimage as an important aspect of their faith journey. What makes a traveler a pilgrim rather than a tourist? How does being a pilgrim connect us to the land and community? How can this be incorporated into our lives? Do we need to travel to distant places to participate? Join Providence Renewal Centre and the Edmonton District Council of Churches as we examine these questions and more in our Lenten Retreat: A Pilgrim People, February 23-25, 2024. As the great Buddhist teacher Thich Nhat Hanh said, “The miracle is not to walk on water but on the earth.”
