Sr. Zoe Bernatsky


Sr. Zoe Bernatsky is a member of the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate, a Ukrainian Byzantine Rite Community. Her educational background includes a Bachelor's of Nursing and a Master's in Health Administration, in addition to a doctorate in Theology. She received her theological education and Spiritual Direction formation from the Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara in Berkeley, California. She teaches Pastoral Theology and Moral Theology at Newman Theological College in Edmonton.


Sr. Isabel Cid


Isabel Cid is a Sister of Providence. Born in Argentina and trained as a teacher, she has also worked as an aide nurse, social worker, pastoral agent in parishes, with immigrants, and in Christian Base Communities. She has acted as an interpreter and translator from English and French to Spanish. Having served in the area of vocation/formation, she mentors consecrated women in formation. She has served her congregation in leadership since 2008. Sr, Isabel completed the two-year Presence Program for Spiritual Direction Formation in 2012 and continues to enjoy this ministry.


Margaret Clark


Margaret Clark is a semi-retired Clinical Pastoral Education Supervisor at St. Stephen's College and Spiritual Director at Providence Renewal Centre. She has a BA in Sociology from Trinity College, Washington, DC, a Master's in Christian Spirituality from Creighton University, Omaha, NB, and a Doctor of Ministry from St. Stephen's College, Edmonton, AB. Her life's work has been in spiritual care ministries that include parish work, chaplaincy, CPE supervision, and theological education. Margaret's greatest joy is listening to fellow travelers on the "road to find out" and witnessing God's loving presence touch and shpe their lives of those she serves.


Debbie Doornbos



Debbie Doornbos is a native Albertan. She has a Bachelor of Theology degree from Newman Theological College in Edmonton. Debbie was a member of the Oblate Parish Mission team, working with several dioceses and parishes to renew parish life. Most recently she serves as Program Director at Providence Renewal Centre. She has completed a unit in Clinical Pastoral Education with a special interest in ministry with the dying. Debbie is a trained and experienced facilitator and retreat leader. She has extensive experience leading small groups. Life transitions, pilgrimages, nature and journeying with others are among her passions.


Faith Nostbakken


Faith Nostbakken has been practicing as a spiritual director at the Providence Renewal Centre since 2006. With a doctorate in English Literature and a Masters in Theological Studies, she is also a Lutheran diaconal minister and ecumenical officer, a retreat facilitator, a writer, and itinerant preacher, and an adult educator formerly through the university system and currently through several theological schools (Catholic, Lutheran, and the Untied Church of Canada). Some of her passions include poetry, photography, and dance.


 Sr. Gertrude Mulholland

 
 Sr. Gertrude Mulholland is a Sister of Charity of the Immaculate Conception. Over the years she has been in ministry as a school teacher, religious educator, spiritual director, and pastoral associate in parishes in both Eastern and Western Canada. In her semi-retirement she continues to share her gifts as a spiritual director and retreat facilitator, as well as giving talks and workshops. She holds a Master of Arts in Spirituality and a Post-Masters Certificate in the Practice of Spirituality.


Zinia Pritchard


Zinia Pritchard, D.Min., O.P. (Assoc.), is AHS Provincial Senior Practice Lead for Spiritual Care. She is a certified spiritual care practitioner, seasoned palliative practitioner and medical educator. Zinia's vocational call is to the mission of practical theology - cultivating spiritual awareness through the translation of theological insight and language into accessible constructs within clinical and learning environments. She has recently served as Research Associate within the Faculty of Medicine, U of A, and is Associate Faculty, SSC. Zinia is currently under contract with Oxford University Press, Palliative Medicine, to author: The Dark Night of the Soul: A Sacred Anatomy of Dying.


 Lori Stewart

   Lori Stewart holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Alberta and a Master of Theological Studies from St. Stephen's College. She is a spiritual director in private practice and an Associate Faculty member at St. Stephen's College where she teaches Questing Faith: Thinking about God, and Pop Culture and Theology. Lori has over twenty-five years of lay worship leader experience in the United Church of Canada. She is also a writer and a poet. Currently, Lori is researching issues of identity and power as they relate to married women's surnames.

 Kathy Budgell

 
 Kathy Budgell has been a part of the Providence Renewal Centre Program Team since 2012. In her role as Program Assistant she looks after registrations and logistics for the Spiritual Nourishment and Spiritual Formation programs, retreats, and events. She is your contact person for many aspects of the Presence Program including setting up meeting rooms, meals, and bedrooms. Kathy is married with two daughters and sons-in-law, and three adored granddaughters.
